I thought I would take a break from stuffing the 350 thank you letters I need to get mailed out today, to tell you how much I just LOVE this weather we’ve been having.
I unwillingly peeled off both down comforters this morning and stumbled into the bathroom where Meguire and I discussed how surprisingly warm our apartment had stayed last night (we kept the heaters on all night). After taking a shower and making my bed (so that I wouldn’t climb back in it) I stood in front of my closet and gazed upon my collection (yes, collection) of clothes. I settled on a pair of khakis that I have owned since high school and a long-sleeved lightweight sweater from Banana (it’s at least spring-ish).
I had my coffee, attempted unsuccessfully to upload pictures to my new facebook album and soon it was time to leave. I once again stood in front of my closet intently looking for the most appropriate coat to wear today. It’s June 9th, it is gray and rainy outside, and I work in a cold office. I considered a zip-up black sweater, my ivory corduroy jacket, or maybe my khaki J. Crew jacket that I wear all the time. But then I saw it: my new North Face down vest. It’s black, very puffy, and warm. Perfect for a rainy June day.
I have gotten multiple comments from unapproving (jealous?) co-workers today about my wardrobe choice. You better believe I have kept the vest on ALL day. It truly was the perfect choice.
Thank GOD I will be in BELIZE in two weeks. Or this weather would be truly unbearable

Thanks for the linkage. You better BELIZE I love it.
And just for the record, your khakis are cute, non-cellulite exposing pants. Although maybe they’re not cellulite exposing because YOU DON’T HAVE CELLULITE.
I’m not bitter.

So one question…how early DO you get up that you have so much time to do stuff in the morning?
