music to my ears.

May 12, 2008

Once summer actually arrives in Seattle it is going to be spectacular.  I’m not sure when (or if) that will happen.  But there are quite a few things I am looking forward to this summer despite the weather.  I am overwhelmed and amazed by all the concerts that are planned in the Seattle area this summer.  There is something for everyone and SO many that are right up my alley.  See the list below:

The classics: The Police; Tom Petty; Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young; James Taylor; Journey (with Heart!)

For the country girl in me: Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Cagle, Sara Evans

The girl singers who I love so much: The Indigo Girls, Cindy Lauper, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow (on my birthday!)

The rest of ‘em: Jack Johnson, Amos Lee, Oasis (with Ryan Adams!)

I seriously would pay money to go to any and all of these shows.  Unfortunately…I don’t have that money.  And this is not to mention the concerts I am actually going to (right now just Sasquatch & DMB).

Seattle, I love you.  Thank you for being an attractive location for all of these musicians.  But please, can you get sunnier?  So we can actually enjoy all these outdoor concerts?  Thanks.

And in other music news…my stereo is fixed!  And I fixed it all on my own.  YESSSS.

I have tickets to Amos Lee, and OASIS. I would attend Journey and Petty in a heartbeat.

I just found out yesterday that Marc Broussard was coming to the Zoo. I went to get tickets today, and they are sold out. BOOOO.

You forgot that Boston is coming with the STYX.
